The name R10LG is short for Rooted 10 Life Group.

In the beginning of 2013, a diverse collection of individuals enrolled in the winter session of Rooted at Mariners Church in Irvine, CA. Divine architecture designated these people for Rooted Group 10. Over the course of the 10-week class, members developed a stronger connection with God, identified ways to participate in the Mariners Church community and developed meaningful friendships that created a desire to move forward as a Life Group.

Today, R10LG is a group of Believers navigating life together. In addition to meeting together weekly for His nourishment, we participate in monthly serve projects, as well as social events to welcome & encourage people to make a stronger connection with our Savior.

Mariners Church is a thriving community. It is ordinary people from all backgrounds, and life experiences, courageously trusting Him to do the extraordinary. Simply put, it’s about trusting Him to do what we can’t – heal, transform, renew, forgive, provide, and sustain.

Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, Mariners has a place for you. We encourage you to check out a weekend experience at one of five campuses throughout Orange County.

Rooted provides the opportunity to connect with God, the church community and your purpose in unexpected life-changing ways.

Think of Rooted as a personal journey. A journey with the goal of deepening your connection with God, His Church, and your purpose in the big, epic story He is writing through human history.

Beyond a program, seminar or small group, Rooted is a catalyst for life-change. Rooted provokes questions and conversations and offers beyond-what-is-comfortable group experiences designed to give you a glimpse of your story in God’s story.

Rooted is offered three times per year, fall, winter, and spring. Men’s, women’s, college-age, singles, and other affinity groups vary by session.

Serve Experience

As part of the Rooted, we learned about Jesus’ heart for serving others. For our Rooted Serve Experience we worked alongside Lighthouse Ministries to feed the homeless.

As we transitioned into a life group, it was of core importance that we would continue to serve others. #R10LG is involved with a formal serve event each month. We take turns so that each group member has the opportunity to take the lead getting us involved with a cause that has meaning for them.

To date, we have participated with serve events such as visiting an elderly care facility for game night, collecting clothes for Philippines ministry, helping with set-up at the Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure,” visiting & interacting with troubled youth, feeding the homeless, celebrating local First Responders, beach clean-up, packing backpacks for & attending Mexico ministry trips, helping out at the Mariners Resource Center and more!

Social Events

As a life group, we are navigating life together. Part of this is getting to socialize with one another.

We do dinners, movies, dodge ball (“if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball!”), barbecues, bon fires, Duffy boat rides in the harbor, trampoline sports, broom ball, bowling, etc.

It’s just fun people doing fun things TOGETHER!

Social Night is usually the second Friday of each month. To see our upcoming social events, click here: CALENDAR
